The Financial Times has cited Hyperreal as a noteworthy play in its article "Virtual clubbing points to future profits from the metaverse."
The article discusses how it says "Digital nightlife provides clues to products and services that will help drive the transition." It quotes CB Insights as forecasting the metaverse to be a $1trillion market by the end of the decade and talks about potential risks with NFTs.
However it says: "A safer bet might be companies with products and services that will help drive the transition to themetaverse, but which are also already in strong demand. In Asia, recent deals point to future profitstreams. These include Sony’s $1.5bn investment in Epic, the US developer of blockbuster gameFortnite; Korean entertainment group CJ ENM’s acquisition of a stake in US-based digital human platform Hyperreal; and SoftBank’s investment in New Zealand-based Soul Machines, another digital avatar company."
